Roatán, Honduras, is woven into both of our diving stories. Amy became a divemaster there before becoming a scuba instructor at MBT in Florida, where she spent time teaching with the dive shop. A technical diver and SDI/TDI instructor, she loves the ocean, swimming among swirling bait balls, and helping people grow in confidence underwater.

Patric’s path also led to Roatán. At Go Pro Caribbean, Will taught him the ropes of becoming a PADI instructor, following PADI training guidelines. Splash Inn supported his journey from divemaster training into work as an instructor. He later traveled to Utila, diving with the Bay Islands College of Diving and building friendships with instructors and teachers across the island.

Before teaching scuba, Patric served as a U.S. Navy Seabee. Working alongside an underwater construction team in Iraq deepened his interest in the technical side of diving and later led him into commercial diving in South Florida. He has continued sharing his love of scuba as a private instructor throughout Florida.

Born in Pensacola, Florida, and raised in Dunoon, Scotland, as a Navy brat, Patric has visited more than 150 countries through his Navy career and civilian travels. Amy is a fellow world traveler—and Patric’s fiancée, co-worker, and partner in discovering what comes next.

Together, we have dived in Greece, explored ancient Roman ruins underwater in Italy, and traveled throughout the Caribbean. We love the variety: warm tropical reefs, cold-water adventures, and the people and places that make each journey memorable.
